Summary:How schools qualify for the State dual tournament
The purpose of this proposal is to change how teams qualify for the state dual tournament. Instead of the top 8 teams based on power points, the proposal would be to have the top 16 teams in each class A-D be seeded 1-16 and have a district final requiring teams to win their way to the state tournament:

All duals through Saturday of week 29 would be counted for seeding purposes.
Monday of NSAA week 30 the pairings would come out
Top 8 power points would be district host
Matchups would be 1v16, 2v15, 3v14, etc.
Those matches would have to be completed during the NSAA week 30
The 8 winners will qualify for state duals
Those seedings will come out on Monday NSAA week 31
If there is travel of more than 300 miles for a final, a neutral site will be used.
Rationale:Scheduling duals is becoming harder to make sure that you are giving yourself the best chance to qualify and not hurt your odds of qualifying. This makes you have to win your way and gives all teams the same opportunity.
Pros:It is easier to schedule duals. There is not the struggle of trying to get your schedule in a position to get you enough points to make it to state and find quality opponents. It gives all schools the ability to compete to qualify for the tournament.
Cons:There will be more travel.
Scheduling for district finals.
