| Summary: | This proposal is to remove scoring monitors from the Class A District Golf Tournaments | |||
| Rationale: | The use of scoring monitors has delayed Coaches being able to use golf carts at Districts to have more coaching time with their athletes. Most scoring monitors require a cart. Scoring monitors have at times created more confusion rather than clarification of scores. No other sport expects their coaches to walk 6-8 miles to be able to coach their kids. | |||
| Pros: | More coaching of student-athletes as carts will be freed up for coaches.
District hosts are not expected to find scoring monitors. | |||
| Cons: | Some student-athletes may struggle to keep track of their score. | |||
