| Summary: | In Classes B-D2, each class would move from six districts to seven districts. The winner of each district would advance to the state contest. All other rules would stay the same. As a result, seven schools would participate in the state contest instead of six.
The state contest could extend the day to support its three-day state schedule. Proposed D1/D2 or C1/C2 State Schedule (A/B would add one show to this day.) Play One: 8 am Play Two: 8:45 am Play Three: 9:30 am Play Four: 10:15 am Play Five: 11 am Play Six: 11:45 am Play Seven: 12:30 pm Awards Play One: 2:30 pm Play Two: 3:15 pm Play Three: 4 pm Play Four: 4:45 pm Play Five: 5:30 pm Play Six: 6: 15 pm Play Seven: 7 pm Awards | |||
| Rationale: | Allowing 7 plays to compete gives more students access to State Play Production. There would also be fewer schools in each district. It may also decrease travel for some schools in each district. | |||
| Pros: | More students are able to access the State Play Contest | |||
| Cons: | The NSAA would pay judges to assess one more play. | |||
