State Championship Seedings and Pairings
Summary:Add an additional third item to the pairings.

3. At the conclusion of pairing the state championship brackets, if a bye is present, it will be filled in the following manner: For the specific weight class with the bye, all wrestlers that lost in the consolation semi-finals match in the district tournament, at that weight, will be ranked with the same seeding criteria as used in the district tournaments. The top ranked wrestler will be placed in the state championship bracket. If there are multiple byes in a weight class, the next highest ranked wrestler will fill the next bye until all byes are filled. Once brackets are posted they are final.
Rationale:The rationale is to eliminate byes in the state tournament.
Pros:To provide equal opportunities for all wrestlers to have a first-round match at the state tournament. Fill any byes at the state tournament with the next most qualified wrestler.
Cons:None that are known to us at this time.
