| Summary: | A play will be dropped a rank by the technical judge on the technical ballot if a school exceeds 15 minutes during the setup and takedown of the set. The school is free to split the time as needed to have an effective load-in and load-out of the stage. This will be added to the NSAA Play Production Technical Ballot, judging manual, and coaching manual. | |||
| Rationale: | Play production contests cannot be run effectively due to schools ignoring the 15 courtesy load-in and load-out suggestion. Play production contests are then off schedule due to this blatant disregard of this courtesy. The technical elements of the performance need more explicitly clear rules to run an effective play production tournament. | |||
| Pros: | Play production contests will run on time, respecting everyone’s time who attends and competes. | |||
